Bowl for Kids' Sake!

Lighthoue Bank staff and management had a blast during the annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids' Sake fundraiser. All funds raised at the event go directly toward matching children with caring mentors. This year, Lighthouse Bank showed up with dozens of volunteers and collected nearly $4,000 in donations!  


 

Lighthouse Bank is recognized as Business of the Year!

Family Service Agency of the Central Coast is a private, non-profit agency serving the community since 1957. They offer a variety of clinical, crisis, educational, outreach and supportive services designed to maintain and strengthen family and community life. The agency recently announced Lighthouse Bank as Business of the Year in recognition of the special services the Bank provides to the local non-profit community.

 Kids Night Out

Members of the Lighthouse Bank staff recently spent an evening at the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Cruz, participating at their annual Kids Night Out event. The event matches a club member with a community volunteer for a night of games, art, food, and music.

 


United Way Workplace Campaign

During our first ever United Way workplace campaign, Lighthouse Bank employees generously donated over $5,800 to help improve the lives of people in Santa Cruz County. The campaign was so successful that the United Way of Santa Cruz County recognized us as the “Outstanding New Campaign”. Lighthouse Bank has elected to participate in the FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through June 30, 2010, all non-interest bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.
