Community

As a locally owned and headquartered bank, we carry a deep sense of responsibility when it comes to the development and economic health of our community. The Board, management, and staff of Lighthouse Bank are dedicated to providing support and assistance to organizations that help make a difference in Santa Cruz County. Members of the Lighthouse Bank family actively participate in our community in a variety of ways. We are involved with numerous non-profit organizations, participate at many fundraising events, and donate our time volunteering for charitable organizations and in the schools. It is important to us that the organizations we support make a difference in the quality of life in our community.

Our Key Funding Priorities:

Youth & Education:
We support programs that ensure a good education and improve the health and safety of children and young adults in Santa Cruz County.

The Arts:
We encourage community-based arts organizations that add diversity and culture in Santa Cruz County.

Community Development:
Organizations that promote wellness and stability in Santa Cruz County, particularly in regard to benefiting low-to-moderate income individuals, seniors and minorities.

Guidelines:

Eligible organizations must be non-profit, tax-exempt as defined in section 501(c) 3 of the Internal Revenue code, a public service organization or institution, or a not-for-profit organization. Political and religious organizations are eligible when they are providing a needed social service. Based on the number of requests we receive, each qualified request will be evaluated on the bank’s key funding priorities as outlined above; the overall community benefit; and the relationship to the bank or bank representative. With limited funds, Lighthouse Bank clients will be given priority.

Additional Opportunities:

In-Kind Donations
Lighthouse Bank makes in kind donations to non-profit organizations. Requests should be sent in writing with and outline of items being requested and a description of where and when they will be distributed; or how they will be used.

Volunteers
Lighthouse Bank staff members are in the community participating and volunteering for many worthy projects. If your organization could benefit from our volunteers, send us a letter describing your organization and the assistance you need.
